Finance Analyst / Assistant Accountant
Salary: £26,000 – £30,000
Location: Midlands

Vantage Resourcing are recruiting this exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst / Assistant Accountant based in the Midlands on behalf of our client, a market-leading facilities management provider based in Birmingham with over 100 employees and £10 million + turnover.  

The purpose of to role is to assist with the completion of the monthly accounts and provide financial analysis by collecting, monitoring, and studying data, then recommending appropriate actions where necessary.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Calculate monthly client share accrual & reconcile to the nominal ledger
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register and reconciliation against nominal ledger
  • Reporting of business unit & site profitability daily, weekly & monthly
  • Contribute to the company’s profitability by analysing results; monitoring variances; identifying trends; recommending actions to management
  • Reconcile transactions by comparing and correcting data
  • Maintain databases by entering, verifying, and backing up data
  • Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses, studying proposed changes in methods and materials
  • Keep financial information confidential
  • Accomplish related results as needed

Qualifications:

  • Educated to AAT level or equivalent in experience
  • ACCA Certified Accounting Technician qualification (CAT) desirable
  • CIMA or CIPFA desirable
