Sales and Marketing Director

Working for a well established, privately owned growing enterprise with a loyal client base.  Following recent acquisitions, the Board has identified the need to recruit this senior position to continue their aggressive growth plans and unify the sales and marketing strategies across the Group.  With a number of household names using our client as a Key Supplier, the opportunity to grow and develop is paramount.


Strategic planning - Analysing the market and individual opportunities to identify and manage opportunities from lead to close.

Develop markets - Communicate with key stakeholders.

Target Driven – Exceed performance and deliver on key goals and objectives of the company.


  • Develop regional growth plans and sales strategy
  • Identify and understand client’s business needs and objectives to develop marketing and sales campaigns
  • Prepare and present sales reports
  • Review and analyse sales performance
  • Monitor, prepare and report on marketing communications and sales activity
  • Manage and give direction to the marketing and sales departments/teams
  • Plan, implement and manage marketing and lead generation campaigns
  • Creation, implementation and management of the marketing plan and activity
  • Organise sales and marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Develop and manage marketing/sales budgets, targets, sectors etc to achieve company objectives
  • Maintain effective internal marketing communications
  • Liaise and work closely with digital marketing and PR agency
  • Direct staff, training and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programmes
  • Meet with key clients
  • Manage all social media channels, strategy and activity
  • Responsible for the creation of marketing materials
  • Ensure company websites are kept up to date
  • Coordinate liaison between sales and other departments
  • Develop, implement and manage sales forecasting activities

Skills and abilities

  • A degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business administration, advertising or related field is required
  • Enthusiastic and creative
  • A proven track record in marketing and sales
  • Ability to develop, manage and implement strategy and plans
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Knowledge and application of a wide range of marketing and sales techniques and concepts
  • Strong motivation, leadership and team management skills

  • Experience within the industrial environment desirable
